Cretinism is a abnormality or disorder caused by disfunction of thyroid glands which produced the thyroid hormone. There are /Vvo kinds of cretinism, endemic cretinism and sporadic cretinism. Endemic cretinism is caused by deficiency of iodine and sporadic cretinism also known as congenital hypothyroid is caused by abnormality of thyroid glands. Manyfactors play role in this abnormality.
