Nutrition Performance of Participants on Action Research in Food and Nutrition (Keragaan Gizi Peserta Program Action Research Pangan dan Gizi)
The objectives of this study was to develop participatory action research in food and nutrition and to analyze performance of children food consumption, nutrition knowledge and attitude of mother, and nutritional status of children. The study showed that most children underfive got used to consume animal protein rich food and tofu/tempe. Level of protein intake was more than 100 percent but level of energy intake was still low. About 82.6 percent mothers weaned their children at more than 2 years and most families provided supplementary food to their children at unappropriate age. Nutrition extension had improved nutrition knowledge and attitude. Many children in the study site suffered from mild and moderate malnutrition.
