Pemenuhan Tugas Pengawas Menelan Obat (PMO) bagi Penderita Tuberkulosis (TB) sebagai Indikator Penyakit Menular di Puskesmas Kota Sigli Kabupaten Pidie

Tuberculosis disease could cause death, mostly in productive age. Tuberculosis control programs in Indonesia implemented by Directly Observed Treatment Shortcourse Chemotherapy (DOTS) strategy. The success of spreadover prevention on TB patients was taking medicine as worker suggestion. Drugs swallowing controler was one of the most important factors that support TB treatment.

The research was conducted at Sigli Pubilc Health Center area where TB cases were highest in Aceh province. The purpose of this research was identify the fulfillment of drugs swallowing controler (PMO) duties at the Sigli publich health center. The sampes of this research were 54 respondents. The result showed that most of fulfillment PMO’s duties were on category IV.
