Pengaruh Faktor-Faktor Teknis (Diameter, Lebar, Kedalaman dan Bentuk) Terhadap Daya Resap Peresapan Air Hujan Sebagai Upaya Mengatasi Banjir Dan Deposit Air Tanah Di Perkotaan
ABSTRACT
Flood hit frequently in many places in Indonesia. One of the main causal factors is the lack of rainwater and wastewater absorption areas as the impact of land surface which are blocked by buildings and roads. On the other side, there is a problem about the decrease of groundwater deposit. Both problems may give disadvantage for people' health, environment and worsen the economic burden. Infiltration system can be used as the solution, nevertheless, the effective and efficient dimension and shape yet are not well understood.
The aim of the study was to know the influence of technical factors, i.e. diameter width, height and shape, of rainwater infiltration system on its infiltration power by conducting a field-scaled experiment which employed pseudo factorial design. By using one way anava statistical test and students' t test at 0,05 significany level, it was found that: 1) the deeper and the wider the dimension and the bigger the diameter of the infiltration system, the bigger is the infiltration power, 3) the infiltration system can be built by using formula L =A x C: R; where L = 2pt + 211 + pi for trench-shaped system and L = Odt + OS for well-shaped system. To overcome flood and groundwater deposit problem in urban areas, buildings and public places are advised to build infiltration systems whose shape, dimension and location well suited with surrounding condition.
