ABSTRACT
Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) is one of indicator of health care service in the country. Maternal death can occur due to several reasons, such as anemia. 15-20% of maternal deaths are directly or indirectly related to dealing with anemia. Anemia due to iron defisiansi a major cause of maternal anemia. The high prevalence of iron deficiency anemia in Jatinegara district health center is now triggered by the low Fe tablet consumption patterns that are less than 90 points during pregnancy. The objective of the study was to know the relation between knoledge, and attitude in the consumption habits of Fe tablets in pregnant women to anemia of pregnant women. Design research is Crossectiona study. Number of sample are 132 respondents. The analysis technique used Chi-Square and Multiple Logistic Regressio analyzes. The result showed that there is a relationship between factors of knowledge (p = 0.020) and attitude (p = 0.027) with the habit of consuming iron in pregnant women along ante natal care (ANC). The most dominant factor affecting consumption habits of iron in pregnant women is attitude, with OR of 2,822. In other words, the attitude has 2,822 times greater chance of the habits of pregnant women who consume tablets Fe at the health center Jatinegara, East Jakarta. As the conclussion of this study that Nurses should give health education regularly to increse the attitute of Fe consumption habits of pregnant women.
