The Treatment Factor of The Umbilical Cord In Infants Aged 0-7 Days To Prevent Neonatal' Tetanus. The umbilical cord is one source of the invasion of viruses and bacteria in newboms. The remaining piece of the umbilical cord into the main causes of infection in the newbom. Negative impacts is the baby will have the disease Tetanus Neonaturum and can lead to death. Prevention is by doing umbilical co rd care, treatment and binding cord that causes physical separation the mother with the baby, and then treated cord is clean to avoid infection of the umbilical cord. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with the treatment of the umbilical co rd in infants aged 0-7 days to prevent neonatal tetanus in Bandar Lampung RS DKT 2012.This research is a quantitative study using the correlation method. The population is all puerperal women who had newboms in the hospital Orchid DKT Bandar Lampung in January 2012 that as many as 47 mothers as well as samples with accidental sampling technique. Analysis of the data used are univariate and bivariate.The test results conclude that there is a relationship between matemal knowledge with umbilical cord care in infants aged 0-7 days to prevent neonatal tetanus in Bandar Lampung Hospital DKT 2012.
