Bacteriological Test Quality of Food in Polytechnic of Health Jakarta II Campus
Based Kepmenkes No. 1098/Menkes/SK/VII/2003 on Hygiene Sanitation Requirements for food vendors and Restaurant, that the minuman content of Excherichia coli (E.coli) is 0 gram.Insouth of Jakarta 2002, food contamination by E. Coli by 58.3% and 37% respectively in lemper and arem-arem. 2003 in South Jakarta, was also found cooked food contaminated with colfrom presence of 45.1%, by E. Coli 31.8%. Based on direct observation of the 30 traders there are 6 merchants who wash their eating tool does not soap. Therefore, cross-sectional descriptive study aims to determine the bacteriological quality of the food by using the indicator of E coli in food at the Polytechnic Kemenkes Health Jakarta II campus. As many as 57 food samples taken and tested for bacteriological quality in a double tube technique performed at the Laboratory of the Department of Environmental health polytechnic Kemenkes Jakarta II. Results showed the quality of food sold on campus Polytechnic Kemenkes Health Jakarta II, 14.1% (8 samples of Food) are not eligible. Only a small portion of food does not contain either fecal Colifrom and non-faecal who respectively are the same size ie 7% (4samples of food)
