Factors Affecting Acne Vulgaris in the Senior High School Students
Although the pathogenesis of acne is currently unkown, recent epidemiologic studies of non weternized population suggest that dietary factors, including the type of foods consumed may be involved. The objective was to know the internal and external factors that are related with acne vulgaris in the senior high school students. The study used the crossectional design with the total sample of 135 students of the SMA YADIKA 3 Ciledug Tengerang. The data of foods consumption were collected by using 24 hours recall method, the nutritional status of the students is determined by using Body Mass Index (BMI). These information are collected by nutritionis. The type of the skins were collceted by general practioner. The study was conducted on April 30-31 April and Mei 5-6 2009. The statistical analysis of this study by using Chi-Square. Results: Of the internal factors, only the type of the skins is associated with the acne vulgaris. Meanwhile of the external factors, only the higiene of the skin is associated with the acne vulgaris
