The Difference of Femal Workers Haemoglobin Level to the Menstrual Length, Nutritional Status, The Comsumption of Inhibitor and Enhancers of Iron
In Indonesia, the prevalence of Nutritional anemia is still high among the vulnerable groups including low income workers. The nutritional anemia is due tomlack of iron consumption. The aim of the study is to know the relationship the length of menstrution, the nutritional status, the nutritional status, the consumption of the inhibitors (tea and Coffee) and the enhancers (poultry, Ment, Fish) of iron absorption to the haemoglobin level among wyeth Indonesia female workers. The study used crossectional design with the total sample of 36 respondents. Statistical analysis used in this study are independent t-test and correlation. The result of the study reveled that 80.6% of the sample have normal nutritional status, 80.% have enough the protein consumption level (≥80% RDA) 63.9% achieve enough vitamin C consumption level (>80% RDA), but interestingly only 8.3% have anough iron consumtion level (>80% RDA). The average of the haemoglobin level was 13.17 gr/dL. Statistical analysis shows that there are no significant differences of the haemoglobin of iron, the consumption of the inhibitor (tea and coffe), the enhancer (chicken, meat, fish) respectively (p>0.03). However, there is a significant differences of the haemoglobin level to the consumption of vitamin C have relationship with the haemoglobin level.
