Karakteristik Penduduk Sakit yang Memilih Pengobatan Rumah Tangga di Indonesia (Analisis Data Riskesdas 2007)
Riskesdas 2007 covered behavior data on household medication by outpatient during a year ago. The objectives of the data analysis of Riskesdas 2007 are to obtain the percentage of Indonesian outpatient, and to describe the characteristics of household medication as well as to determine the related factors.
An analysis of secondary data of Riskesdas 2007 was carried out using 280.000 households in 33 provinces in Indonesia. Criterion of sample is individual whose age was more than 10 years and take household medication within a year before the survey. Data were analyzed using frequency distribution, Chi-Square test and multiple logistic regression method.
The results showed that: 1) The prevalence of Indonesian outpatients during a year before the survey was 37,01%, those who seek medical treatment was 96,0% and 1.6% household medication. 2) The greater proportion of those who seek household medication are female, older age group (pra-lansia/lansia), married or divorced, lower education, unemployed, villagers,and suffering from malaria and typhoid fever. 3) Factors related with outpatient behavior that seek household medicationare gender, age group, education and residence.
