Hubungan Posisi Kerja dan Tinggi Badan dengan Keluhan Nyeri Pinggang pada Pekerja Garmen di Jakarta Utara
Background: Low back pain is one of the common musculoskeletal disorders that can cause worker’s absenteeism and decrease of productivity. Work posture, body height, and individual factors to low back pain complain among garment workers Methods: A cross sectional study among 814 garment workers in North Jakarta. Samples were selected purposively with inclusion criteria (age less than 56 years old, minimal 1 years working period). Result: The percentage of the low back pain complain among garmen works was 23.1%. The work posture, body height, and education significantly related to the low back complian. The low back pain complain in persons who worked in sitting position was higher than in standing position (OR 2.15 95% CI 1.45-3.18 p=0.0001). The low back complain in workers with tall body height was higher than low body height (OR 1.59 95% CI 1.14-2.22 p=0.006), and in workers with low education was higher than high education (OR1.46 95% CI 1.02-2.08 =0.04). The low back complain was not significantly to the related to the age, sex, working period, and body mass index (p>0.05). Intervention through modification of the table and the chair height can protect workers from the low back pain complain.
