Hubungan antara Sikap dengan Perilaku Bidan dalam Pencegahan Infeksi HIV (di WilayahKerja Puskesmas Se-Kabupaten Pacitan)
AIDS (acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome) become a very serious a very serious problem everywhere throughout the world. Health workers should put themselves in alert because in many countries over the years many health workers have been infected by HIV due to the nature of their accupation. Health care works should always be in universal alertness to protect them from getting HIV/ AIDS infection, especially the midwives or bidans who are in frequent contact with body fluids such as blood, ketuban fluid or other intensive vaginal secrete. There are many bidans who have not performed standard universal precaution/infection prevention. This study was aimed at investigating the relationship between bidan’s attitude and behavior in the interest of preventing HIV/AIDS infection. The was an analytical and cross-sectional study on a midwive or bidan population in Kabupaten Pacitan. Subjects were recruited by cluster random sampling technique, resulting in 84 respondents. Bidan’s attitude toward the prevention of HIV/AIDS infection was assigned as independent variable, while the dependent variable was their behavior and practices in the prevention HIV/AID infectin.
