Identifikasi Faktor Penyebab Anemia pada Ibu Hamil Trimester III di Wilayah Puskesmas Wonosari Kabuaten Madiun
A condition where red blood cell count is less than normal is called anemia. Anemic condition among pregnant mothers will induce impacts as shown by maternal morbidity and mortality figures, increase of infant morbidity and mortality rates, as well as increase the risk for occurrence of low Birth Weight infants (LBWI). Anemic conditions should be managed in accordance with the various causal factors. This study was aimed at identifying the causal factors for anemic condition among pregnant mothers at 3rd trimester especially in Puskesmas Wonosari operational area, at Kacamatan Wonosari Kabupaten Madiun. The population under study were pregnant mothers at 3rd trimester who were experiencing anemic condition. Data were collected using questionnaires, followed by descriptive analyse, and the results were presented in tables and diagrams. With regard to the causal factors of such anemic condition, the study discovered that 62.06% of mothers have experienced malnutrition, 58.62% of mothers have been consuming Iron tables less that the designated dose, and about 6.66% of mothers have contrated chronic illnesses (TB). The study concluded that the causal factors for anemic condition among mothers at 3rd trimester pregnancy in Puskesmas Wonosari area were dominated by lack of nourishment and lack of iron tablet intake. To alleviate these two factors intense monitoring need to be exercised on pregnant mothers. It is realized that only limited of causal factors were investigated, other fellow researecher encouraged to carry out more elaborate objects relating to anemic condition.
