Kejaian Bakteriologis pada Sistem Penyediaa Air Bersih di Komplek Akademi Kepolisian Semarang
There were still water born diseases occurred in Police Academy like Morbili, Variola, Thypus, Conjunctivitis, Diarea Varicella, Herpes and DHF. Overall cases had the amount of 136 (in the year 2005) and 241 (in the year 2006) Those diseases may be related to the bacteriological quality of water. This research aimed to study the bacteriological quality on water supply system in Police Academy Semarang. It was a descriptive research using water was tested to know the coliform content for water resource and comsumer standpipe. The data would be analyzed using descriptive technique to know some factors related to the water quality on water supply system. The result of this research showed that water resource for water supply was teken from 21 deep wells. Water would be distributed to consumer using polyvinyl clorida pipe. No treatment before water distributed to consumer. The are 26,6% of well water not fulfill as portable water. The other hand; 47,1% of water taken from sandpipe in family was not fulfill (had more than 50 coloni content in water). The respondent’s knowledge was good yet on portable water. The research concluded that the bacteriological quality on water supply system need to be improved for open distribution system and built chlorination unit on reservoir.
