Structural Elucidation of Pentacyclic Triterpene and Sterol on Cytotoxic Compounds of Leaves Fraction from Eupatorium inulifolium H.B.K. with Cytotoxic Character (Elusidasi Struktur Triterpen Pentasiklik dan Sterol yang Terkandung dalam Fraksi Daun Eupatorium Inulifalium H.B.K. yang Bersifat Sitotoksik)
Finding new substances from natural resources is quite important, especially those possessing medical usage. This experiment was perfomed in order to isolate and elucidate the stucture of pentacyclic triterpene and sterol substances from Eupatorium in lifolium H.B.K. leaves. The structural elucidation of those substances was performed using IR, UV, mass spectrometer 1H and 13C NMR. The result suggested that those compounds were 12,13 dihidro-lamdha-amirin 20,30-3n,3- asetet, 12,13-dihidro-lamdha-amirin 20,30-en,3-ol and betha-sitostan 20,21-en.3-ol.
