The administration of fosinopril a new ACE inhibitor with a dose of 10-20 mg/day for 12 weeks reduce systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure significantly, without alternation of heart rate, lipid, carbohydrate and protein metabolisme, and electrolytes are also not distrubed. Side effects are minimal and well tolerated.

The Early Preventing of the Progress of Incipien Nephropaty in NIDDM Patient …
A study was conducted to compare indapamide with captopril in preventing the progress of diabetic nephropaty. Each group was consist of 25 NIDDM patients. The study showed that both drug were equaly effective in decreasing albumin exretion rate. Both drugs did not change lipid electrolit profile. It is concluded that indapamide could be used as an alternatif to captopril.

To compare the effects of cilazapri and atenolol on lowering blood pressure and side effects in patients with hypertension, a theree months randomized double blind trial has been done with a total of 80 patients.
