The Effect of Cannabiss sativa L. toward Male Fertility (Pengaruh Ganja (Cannabiss sativa L.) terhadap Fertilitas Pria)

Cannabis sativa L. is a plant containing psychoactive substance with analgetic effect and effecting psychological condition as to feel euphoria and fly. The abuse and addict of cannabis has been proved to influence negatively towards male fertility. Long term usage of the subtance will increase endorphine level. The hormonal level decrease will cause spermatogenesis disturbance and secondary sexual organ. Spermatogenesis disorder would bring about oligozoospermia, asthenozoospermia, teratozoozpermia and other sperm disturbance. Disorder of secondary sexual organ results in decreased prostatic glands size and seminal vesicles weight, which in turn inhibit sperm motility.
