The Analysis of Alkalosis Level in Epileptic Patient at Mental Health Hospital, Bengkulu (Analisis Tingkat Alkalosis pada Penderita Epilepsi di Rumah Sakit Jiwa Bengkulu)

A study was conducted at mental hospital in Bengkulu, to evaluate alcalosis level among epileptic patients. Urine and serum pH from epileptic patients was compared with those of voluntary healthy group of people as a control group. The result showed that urine pH and serum pH epileptic patients is higher than those of control. This results is statistically significant (p less than 0.05 and p less than 0.01). Among epileptic patients, woman urine pH is much pH is not statistically different. The study also show that there is no association between age and disease period with plasma pH. It was concluded that alcalosis level among epileptic patients is sligly higher than those of non epileptic people.
