Cholinesterase and Creatinine Content on Farmer's which Working with Pesticides in Brebes Teritory (Kandungan Enzim Kholinesterase dan Kreatinin pada Petani Penebar Pestisida di Kabupaten Brebes)
Increasing of agroindustries product is closely related to increasing the pesticide usage. Pesticide is a toxic substance for living organism including human being. Pesticides group of organophosphat and carbamat that have ability to interaction with cholinesterase are commonly used in Indonesia. The total blood concentration of cholinesterase could be used as one of biological marker for toxicity of organophosphat and carbamat group. This research is aimed to identify the concentration of cholinesterase enzyme in the farmer blood which working with pesticide/insecticide. The study was carried out in Tersana, Brebes. The farmer in that village are using a lot of pesticides for their crops. The sample was done by taking of 2 ml the vena blood from the farmer, and adding heparin as anticoagulant. The periode, frequently, and using of equipment during the farmer work, are closely related to the condition of working farmer, that had been collected by questioner/dialogue. Cholinesterase enzyme concentration is analyzed spectrophotometrically using Merckostest reagent, and creatinine using creatinine test reagent. Result of this investigation could be summerized that cholinesterase concentration in normal people (standard) is 2.575 kU/l, the farmer which have the value of (0-0.643) kU/l Hard Toxicity = (HT) is 1 person = 2.5 percent, the value of (0.956-1.287) kU/l Middle Toxicity = (MT) are 5 persons = 12.5 percent, the value of (1.593-1.611) kU/l High Toxicity = (LT) are 15 persons = 37.5 percent, the value of (1.931-2.567) kU/l Normal Conditon = (N) are 19 persons = 47.5 percent. The creatinine concentration in each respondent was influenced by insecticide interactions.
