Determination and Characterization of Gynura procumbens (Lour) Merr Leave (Determinasi dan Karakterisasi Asparaginase Daun Gynura procumbens (Lour) Merr)
Determination and characterization of Gynura procumbens (Lour) Merr asparaginase has been studied and evaluated. Determination of asparaginase activities were carried out by Bergmeyer's method and the protein in solution was assayed by Lowry's method with bovin serum albumin as protein standard. The result of this observation as follows : the spesific activities of Gynura procumbens asparaginase was 0.0175 + 0.008 (n=6) : the pH optimum was 8.6 and the Michaelin-Menten constante (Km) was 4.8 x 1,000,000 ML-asparagin as a substrat.
