The Community Health Problem Post Earth Quake at West Lampung, 1994 (Masalah Kesehatan Masyarakat Pascagempa Bumi di Lampung Barat, 1994)
An earth quake was occured in West Lampung District on 16 February 1994. To evaluated the relieve activities to contain community health problem post quake, a rapid survey was conducted by an IAKMI team. Primary and secondary data was used for this purpose. Primary data was collected directly from health coordinator post in Liwa, and added by interviewing the victims and health personnal involve in the activities, and by observation to community health releated facilities. Secondary data was collected from other releve posts, as well as health institution in the area. The team found that diseases prevention and control were not worked as expected until 6 days post quake. There was not any promotion on how to stay minimally health, supply of health personnal, drugs and health services were not coordinated. In addition a survailence for expected diseases post quake was not conducted. It is suggested that a protocol for disaster relief, including for earth quake, both in acute and chronic phase, so that the activities is to contain the health problem could be conducted smooth and coordinated.
