Some Risk Factors which Influencing to the Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (Beberapa Faktor Risiko yang Berpengaruh terhadap Kejadian Demam Berdarah Dengue)
The incidence of dengue haemorrhagic fever (DHF) has been influenced by multiple factors, among other things; environment, behavior, health services, and genetic factor. Which factors have still their influence the incidence of DHF were remain uncertain. This case control study has been done to bring clarity this question. For study group, DHF patients has been used (clinical and serological negative), which admitted to the Internal Medicine Department of Dr. Kariadi Hospital, Semarang, during February 1990-January 1991. The result of study as 'the high risk factors' were relatives/neighbour of the patient that even suffered from DHF, occupation (school pupil/students), unused tin, 'cleaning' bath tube, catnap, other place that convenient of the mosquitos to lay their eggs (such as bamboo fecth, ponds), and insecticide (not used). The other risk factors were members of family, ignorancy about symptoms and signs of DHF, cleaning the village (had never), hanging coat, bath tube, open places and fogging (had never). The less risk factors were education, ignorancy about the transmission of DHF, ignorancy about eradication of the mosquitos (Aedes), habit of cleaning house and home yard (not enough), vase that filed with water and unused tyres.
