Diagnostical Feature of Atopic Dermatitis According to Hanifin-Rajka Criteria (Gambaran Diagnosis Dermatitis Atopik dengan Kriteria Hanifin-Rajka)
One hundred and two patients with atopic dermatitis were enrolled in a descriptive study to obtain the percentage of each clinical feature using the criteria of Hanifin-Rajka as a diagnostic guidelines. Diagnosis of atopic dermatitis would require the percence of at least 3 or more basic features and 3 or more minor features. We found pruritus in 102 (100 percent), spesific distribution of the lesion in 99 (97 percent), cronically relapsing course in 92 (90 percent) and atopic history in 72 (70 percent) patients, as the basic features, respectively. None of the patients showed any signs of minor features : subcapsular cataract, keratoconus or perifollicular accentuation. In conclusion, there is no diffrence between the percentage of basic features in this study of Hanifin and Rajka. And the criteria of Hanifin-Rajka was very helpful in making the diagnosis of atopic dermatitis or in rejecting the diagnosis in ambiguous cutaneous inflammatory disease.
