Nutritional Status and Hemoglobin Level Diffrences on the Elementary School Pupils Infected with Helmithiasis Based on the Type Number of Worm Causes (Perbedaan Status Gizi dan Kadar Hemoglobin Anak Sekolah Dasar Penderita Infeksi 'Soil Transmitted Helminths' Berdasarkan Jumlah Jenis Cacing Penyebabnya)
The objective of this study is to detect the differences in nutritional status and haemoglobin content between school children not injected with those injected by single and combined soil transmitted helmiths. The subjects were 2,287 school children chosen sistimatically followed by simple randomization in Karanganyar regency, Central Java. Analysis was done by oneway analysis of variance. The results shawed a significant diffrerence between the nutritional status of children with combined soil transmitted helmiths and those not infected and infected by single soil transmitted helminth. But there were no significant difference in the haemoglobin content between the 3 groups. Combine infection was more severe than single infection in all type of helminth except hookworm.
