Dietary Protein on Chronical Kidney Failure at Dr. Kariadi Hospital, Semarang (Diit Rendah Protein pada Pasien Gagal Ginjal Kronik (GGK) di RSDK Semarang)
The study being carried out in Dr. Kariadi Hospital Semarang is trying to reveal whether low protein diet can be accepted by chronic renal failure (CRF) patients. Study design is a cross sectional study on all CRF patients being hospitalized in Dr. Kariadi Hospital Semarang, from September 1, 1994 to January 31, 1995. Variabel of the study were energy intake, protein intake, creatinine plasma, blood urea, creatinine clearance, nutrition status measured by body mass index, compliance of energy intake, compliance of protein intake, haemoglobine. The study was able to examined 42 samples consisting of 24 male and 18 female patients. The mean value of the measured variables were; age (39.0 plus/minus 12.6 yrs), energy intake (1137 plus/minus 282 kcal), protein intake (29.9 plus/minus 11.5 9), blood urea (188.9 plus/minus 79.4 mg percent), creatinine plasma (14.1 plus/minus 7.1 mg percent), creatinine clearance (7.2 plus/minus 5.3 ml/min), BMI (20.3 plus/minus 3.1), compliance of energy intake (71.7 plus/minus 18.2 percent), compliance of protein intake (71.1 lambda 20.9 percent), haemoglobine (8.6 plus/minus 2.4 gr percent).
