Preparation of Film Coated Tablet Using Conventional Coating Pan and its Modification (Pembuatan Tablet Salut Film dengan Menggunakan Panci Penyalutan Konvensional dan yang Telah Dimodifikasi)

The possibility of using a conventional coating-pan by modifying its interior part to prepare film coated tablet has been studied. The aim of the study is to use the conventional coating pan for preparing film coated tablet faster. Pharmacoat-606 was used as film coating after being solubilized in ethanol. Film coating was done by spreading the pharmacoat-606 solution using both conventional and modified coating pan. Physical tests were done to the tablets produced. The results showed that conventional coating pan could be used to prepare film coated tablet regardless the interior part of the coating pan was modified or not. The quality of those tablets yielded was equal.
