The Association between Bladder Stones and Several Factors (Hubungan Antara Batu Buli-buli dengan Beberapa Faktor)
Objective. To investigate the association several factors (leucocyte level in blood and leucocyte in urine, utilization drainage, length of time utilization cathere, amount of bladder stone) and infection. Methods : This research was carried out retrospectively by collecting all of data of bladder stones cases during 1983-1989. The data cases which were operated by author. A number of 163 cases were studied. Results. Age of patients up to 15 were 41 percent. About 85 percent of the patients were men. In 38 percent of cases, the blood peripheral leucocyte level in was more than 10,000/mm3, in 53.5 percent of cases, leucocyte in urine more than 50/FVB, 71.2 percent of cases utilized dranaige, 30.5 percent of cases utilized catheters which removed after first day post-operative. In 93.5 percent of cases there were only one bladder stone and 10.4 percent of cases were infected. Conclusions. There were significant statistical association between leucocyte level more than 10.000/mm3 and utilization drainage. There was a correlation between low haemoglobin levels and drainage utilization with post-operative ulcer infection.
