Comparative Study of Hemoglobin Concentration, Nutritional Status and Food Consumption of Underfive Children (Kajian Kadar Hemoglobin, Status Gizi, Konsumsi pada Anak Balita)
The objective of the study is to compare of hemoglobin concentration nutritional status and food consumption of underfive children in Daerah Binaan Kelompok Tani (DBKT) and Daerah Bukan Binaan Kelompok Tani (DBBKT). Children with hemoglobin concentration less than 11 g/100 ml (anemia) in DBKT was 7 percent and in DBBKT was 37 percent. Well-nourished children was 80 in DBKT and 67 percent in DBBKT. Undernutrition was found 7 percent in DBBKT. The average food consumption of underfive children in DBKT was higher than that of DBBKT in terms of energy and nutrient availability, i.e. energy 1016 Kcal and 704.9 Kcal; protein 31.9 g and 15.7 g; iron 8.81 mg and 5.13 mg; vitamin C 33.8 mg and 25.9 mg, respectively. There was no relationship between nutritional status with hemoglobin concentration.
