A Study on the Interferences of Calcium and Magnesium towards the Excipient of Tablets and the Intensity of Potassium Emision and Absorption of Iron (II) as Active Ingredients of Tablets (Uji Spektroskopik Serapan Atom dan Emisi Nyala pada Pengaruh Bahan Pengisi terhadap Penentuan Kadar Besi (II) dan Kalium dalam Sediaan Tablet)
A study on the interferences of calcium and magnesium towards the excipient of tablets and the intensity of potassium emision and absorption of iron (II) as active ingredients of tablets, at quantitative analysis potasium and iron (II) with flame emission spectroscopy and atomic absorption spectroscopy in an air - asetilen flame with calibration curve method has been conducted variations of concentrations of all trace metals were studied in range of calibration curve, and all metals dissolved in nitric acid until pH 2. Calcium carbonat was used for examination of interferences calcium from calcium hydrogen phosphat and magnesium sulfat was used for examination of interferences magnesium from magnesium stearat to iron from iron (II) sulfat and potassium from potassium sulfat. The calcium concentrations from 50.00 to 130.00 ug/ml and magnesium from 0.80 to 1.90 ug/ml, iron 10.00 ug/ml, potassium 5.00 ug/ml and then made mixtures of calcium with iron and potassium and magnesium with iron and potassium. The result was not obtained that calcium and magnesium interfered the measurement of iron and potassium. Conclusions that quantitative analysis of iron (II) and potassium by atomic absorption sectroscopy and flame emission spectroscopy were not interfered by calcium and magnesium.
