The 1992 National Household Health Surveys (SKRT) was carried out integratedly with the National Social Economic Surveys (SUSENAS). The integrated 1992 SKRT and SUSENAS was concentrated in mortality and maternal health surveys. The objective of this paper is to review the analysis results of 1992 SKRT in the field of maternal health and other related studies for policies inputs. This review is divided into 3 (three) major parts : first the specific problems of pregnant women and delivery process : second, pattern and factors influencing the ANC; and third, pattern and factors influencing the delivery process. The specific problems related to pregnant women and delivery process are focussed in hypertension (incidence = 4.8 percent) and anemia of the pregnant women (incidence = 63.5 percent). Six variables are significantly related to the frequency of ANC of the pregnant women samples : level of pregnant women education, regionalization (Java-Bali-Sumatera-etc), number of live children, history of use contraseptive devices, living environment of the samples (urban-rural) and personnels assisted the delivery process of last pregnancy. However, these six variables could only explained 30 percent of the ANC frequency and individually each variable could only explain 4.2-4.5 percent of the ANC visit number. The factors influencing delivery process of the samples are living environment, occupation, parity, socio-economic, age of pregnant women and education. Recommendations to improve the MCH programs are provided in this paper.
