Kajian Regulasi Iklan Sarana Pengobatan Tradisional di Surat Kabar (Study of Traditional Health Services Provider Advertisements Regulations in the Newspaper)
Nowadays traditional health service provider promote its services through newspaper advertisements vigorously. They offer excessive promises such as the certainty of recovery without side effect, experience service provider, exclusive recipes and testimony patients who recovered. Advertise with the promise that still doubt the truth of this may also play a role in the tendency of society to switch to SPT. Moreover there is alleged advertising violations SPT.
It is a descriptive analytic study, cross-sectional, using qualitative approach. This study aims to examine the characteristics of advertisements in newspapers and traditional medicine policy related advertising. Characteristics ad taken through advertisements published in local newspapers in Surabaya and Jakarta. The experiment was conducted in 2012.
The analysis showed that there are violations almost all the ads with very similar characteristics, although policies that regulate traditional medicines had enough. It is suggested that there is a multisector cooperation to take part in advertising censors, juristically at provincial and district level to prosecute violations of advertising and conduct empowering society be aware and mindful against media.
