Analisis Faktor Pemanfaatan Polindes Menurut Konsep Model Perilaku Kesehatan ”Anderson” (Analisis Lanjut Data Riskesdas 2007)

The difference between the needs and the demands of the ommunity in urban, villages, islands and isolated areas had caused the difference approach towards health facilities. To fulfil the demands, Pondok Bersalin Desa (Polindes), or village delivery house, as a model which goal was to ease the access to delivery care and to solve the mortality problems, the Polindes utilisation was need to be assessed.

This article was a part of the advanced analysis of the secondary data of Basic Health Research Study (Riskesdas) 2007. Analysis technique used in this analysis was chi square and multiple logistic regression to get the pictures of the correlation between the characteristics, social status of house hold and the access to the Polindes towards utilization of the Polindes.

The results showed that the utilization of Polindes in lndonesia was stilllow (under -utilized) due to different reasons, among others not requiring Polindes care. Chi Square test showed that there was correlation between time of travel, the distance to the Polindes ,the village classification, expenditure per capita,occupation, education and age of the head of HH towards the utilization of the Polindes.

The conclusion of this analysis that Polindes is more appropriate to be built for the group of deprived family, low educated, peasants and fisherman and in villages or isolated areas with less access to the Polindes.
