Peran Pengetahuan dan Tingkat Pendidikan terhadap Perilaku Pengendalian Vektor DBD pada Masyarakat di Kelurahan Endemis di Kota Samarinda (Role of Knowledge and Education Level to Dengue Vector Control Behavior in Endemic Villages Community in Samarinda 2009)
Dengue hemorrhagic fever prevention need sustanable community participation in vector control.
The aim of study was to identify factors relating to dengue vector control behavior in endemic vilage in Samarinda City. Research design was cross-sectional. Samples used total sampling in selected rukun tetangga (RT) community.Research conducted in January-February 2009. Data analyzed with chi square test. Most of respondents were female and aged 21-30 years.
Results showed level of education and knowledge significantly related to vector control behavior. Community knowledge as predisposif factor for communiy dengue vector control behavior need health promotion efforts, especially in people with middle to low education level.
