Selong Belanak Village was one of the village with the highest percentage rate of Annual Malaria Incident by 7,59 % in area of Puskesmas Mangkung in 2009. The objectives of this study were to determine some bioecology aspects of An. vagus that was breeding habitats characteristic, larva density, and biting activity of An. vagus. This study was conducted at Selong Belanak village, Center Lombok District, Nusa Tenggara Barat Province in 2010. This study was a descriptive study using cross sectional approach. Larva and adults colections were doing in this study by using man baited method.

The biting characteristic of An. vagus have a exofilic and exophagic type. Mosquitoes collection were conducted in around of animals stable, and the results higher density more than other method with result 2,0 by person by hour. The highest density biting activity of mosquito in outside between 20.00 - 21.00 o'clock with Man Hour Density (MHD) is 0,1 by person by hour. Detection of Sporozoit in salivary glands of suspected malaria vector needs to do to malaria vector.
