The study on mosquito abundance and diversity has been conducted during April to August 2011 in Pemetung Basuki and Tanjung Kemala Beret Village, Ogan Komering Ulu Timur District. The aim of this study was to identify variety of mosquito species in Ogan Komering Ulu Timur. Mosquito collection conducted in the night during 12 hours, started at 18.00pm until 06.00am. The collection method were human biting collection, cattle landing collection and collected by light trap The results of this study showed 20 species of mosquito were collected i.e. Culex vishnui and Culex quinquefasciatus. As many as 80,7% mosquito found was Cx.vishnut Breeding habitat that found were fish-ponds, old-wells,tires, puddle marsh and rice-field.
