Upaya Pencegahan dan Penyembuhan Penyakit Pada Bayi dan Anak Berdasarkan Konsepsi Budaya Healing And Disease Prevention Efforts In Infants And Children Under The Conception of Culture)

ABSTRACT
Bantul Regency Yogyakarta economic level of society can be said to belong low but Public Health Development Index (IPKM) is Quite high. Reversing an assumption that the health status of a community that is closely related to high enough economic progress of the peoples concerned. There are allegations of local socio-cultural factors in determining the high health status in the area. For studies that have been conducted using an ethographic appoach to unravel the various socio-cultural factors associated with the KIA. Ipenelitian concentrated in the village Gadingsari Sanden Bantul district based on the consideration of cases of maternal mortality and infant /child relatih low. The type of data that is qualitative in-depth interviews were conducted against several people including mothers who are pregnant and or have babies or toddlers as well as those selected as key informants as sources of information related to maternal and child health.
This article is part of the study result with emphasis on the discussion of the cultural conception underlying the prevention and cure of disease in infants or children, who do tinggingginya communities associated with health status. Still the local communities of attention specifically on the ‘incidence of illness in infants and young children because it believed spirits were expressed by the term "convulsions". By reason ugkapan event of sickness in infants because of "convulsions" less according to the conceptions of bio-medical health. But from the other hand there are positive things that reflect a heightened awareness to give special attention to children who are infants or toddlers to be taken care of safety and health from unwanted interference .. Various special ritual performed by parents to prevent and treat the infant or toddler children were sick trusted because "convulsions".

The concept of the child as a baby who was originally associated with the inner happiness of the family has grown to become not only limited to the economic and social satisfaction but the child is an investment for parents who are expected to raise the degree of either parent of the social and economic status. Thus, children should be kept healthy. Child if the pain will soon come to be treated with the existing health care facilities do not procrastinate anymore to just be treated or taken to traditional healers, while still utilizing the services of traditional health workers (TBAs). for the maintenance of health and the baby or child. Value orientation of the child to bring a logical consequence that every family who had a baby or toddler should be ready by the health funds are used to maintain the health of their children.
