Jus Brokoli Menurunkan Kadar Low Density Lipoprotein Darah pada Tikus Model Diabetes Melitu(Broccoli Juice Reduce Blood Low Density Lipoprotein in Diabetes Mellitus Mice Model)
ABSTRACT
Reducing LDL is one of the main focus in DM therapy to reduce mortality risk. Broccoli, with its rich vitamins and minerals has been widely used as dietetic therapy in DM specifically to control LDL level. The objective of this research is to investigate the impact of broccoli juice in reducing LDL in DM mice model with $TZ induced. An experimental laboratory post-test only measurement was conducted by dividing 5 treatments groups (negative control, positive control, broccoli juice 2,52; 5,04; and 7,56 g/kg 8W), with 4 mice in each group during 14 days intervention period. The one way ANOVA followed by post hoc Tuckey show significant reducing in LDL level of three different dosages with the highest reduction in 7,56 g/kg BW. It can be concluded that broccoli juice consumption has potential impact in reducing LDL level in DM mice model.
