ABSTRACT

Essential hypertension is a multifactorial and complex disease because it involves to interactions of genetic and environment factors. One of the polymorphisms that relation with hypertension is a T(-344)C variant CYP1182 gene as a gene coding for aldosteronesynthase. This study purposed to analyze the interaction between non genetic risk factors and the polymorphism of aidosterone synthase 7(-344)C Variant CYP11B2 Gene Promoter Region in pa tier's with essential hypertension at coastal and mountainous areas in a case control study. We studied 100 individuals, whom were SO hypertensive patients and SO healthy normotensive subjects. The polymorphism ofaidosterone synthase T(-344)C variant CYP1182 gene was determined using polymerase chain reaction and restriction fragment lenght polymorphism analysis.

The results of study indicated there is the influence overall risk factors together to essential hypertension in both the coastal and mountainous areas. The presence of polymorphisms in the CYP11B2 gene promoter region of 8,3% in patients with essential hypertension in coastal areas. Polymorphism of the thymine base mutation (T)to cytosine (C) at codon -344 in 2 (two) patients of essential hypertension in coastal areas. Genetic susceptibility was found in individuals with homozygous genotype TT 3 (three) times more than the heterozygous genotype TC who have essential hypertension in both coastal and mountainous areas and the homozygous genotype TT was found 8 (eight) times more than the homozygous genotype CC in the coastal areas. This study supports that the 77 genotype and allele -344T associated with essential hypertension.
