Pendidikan Sebaya Meningkatkan Pengetahuan Sindrom Pramenstruasi pada Remaja( Peer Education Improve Premenstrual Syndrome Knowledge in Adolescent)
ABSTRACT
Health education about premenstrual syndrome at early adolescents is very important. This research aimed to investigate the impact of peer education method to adolescent's knowledge about premenstrual syndrome using one group pre-posttest design. The study subject (31 students) was proportional randomly selected from sixth grade students in one of Malang Junior High school. A self-administered questionnaire was distributed pre and post intervention to measure the student knowledge and further analyzed using Wilcoxon signed rank test.
The result show that the student knowledge after intervention (77,4%) was significantly (Z=4,82) higher compared to before intervention (67,7%). It can be concluded that peer education method is a reasonable choice for health education program in adolescent about premenstrual syndrome.
