Polimorfisme Gen Penyandi Reseptor Adrenergik I3, pada Remaja dengan Sindroma Metabolik (Polymorphism of Adrenergic β, Receptor Signaling Gene in Adolescents with Metabolic) Syndrome
ABSTRACT
Metabolicsyndrome has become worldwide health problem including in Indonesia, and obesity as one of its components. Obesity in adolescents tends to continue to be obesity in adulthood and is caused by both genetic and environment factors. Genetic factor causing obesity is adrenergic receptor signaling gene which plays a role in the thermo genesis. This study aims to define the role of adrenergic 8, receptor signaling gene in adolescence with metabolic syndrome. This study was conducted using case-control design. The criteria of metabolic syndrome used the definition from IDF (International Diabetes Federation). This study identifies the presence of polymorphism on adrenergic6,receptor signaling gene as much as 13,396 adolescents with metabolic syndrome.
Polymorphism that occur are on the chain base 212 missense between thymine and adenine, guanine and adenine on chain base 213 and deletion of chain base 244 in 2 adolescents with metabolic syndrome and of chain base 354 in 1 adolescent with metabolic syndrome. A relationship is obtained between polymorphism and the presence of metabolic syndrome. It can be concluded that the occurrence of polymorphisms in adrenergic ?receptor signaling gene is associated with metabolicsyndrome in adolescents.
