Konsumsi Sayur, Buah Dengan Kadar Kolesterol Peserta Senam Jantung Sehat Yayasan Wijaya Kusuma Kelurahan Miekarsari, Cimanggis (Vegetable And Fruits Consumption With Cholesterol Levels Of Healthy Heart Gymnastics Participants, Yayasan Wliaya Kusuma Kelurahan Mekarsari, Cimanggis)
ABSTRACT
Consumption offoods high infat and low consumption of vegetables andfruits may decrease the absorption offat and cholesterol. Cholesterol intake is important as a determinant of the risk of heart and blood vessel disease. The World Health Report 2002 that low fruit and vegetable consumption causes 31% of ischemic heart disease and stroke 11% . The purpose ofresearch is torind relationships fruit and vegetable consumption with cholesterol levels of Healthy Heart Gymnastics participants Wijaya Kusuma Foundation. The population of anabolic descriptive study with ards sectional approach were all participants' club and total sample 44 respondents.
The results showed 681% of respondents aged >50tahun are female. Average daily consumption of vegetables is 310.80grams/day (+153,971) and fruit is 298.89grams/day (+206,791), while the average cholesterol levels of participants is 190.11mg/dl (+32.277). Analysis of the data using the Pearson correlation test to determine the correlation. Results obtained that there was no relation betweenfruit and vegetable consumption on cholesterol levels (r-0.093, p>0.05 and r-0.17, p>0.05). Therefore, consumption offlber from vegetables and fruits should be increased in order to give effect lowers blood cholesterol levels.
