Peran Ekstrak Daun Ubi Jalar (Ipomoea Batatas) Terhadap Jumlah Trombosit Tikus Sprague Dawley (Ethanol Extract From Ipomoea Batatas Leaves Against Platelet Number in Mice of Sprague Dawley)
ABSTRACT
Sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas) has long been known in Indonesia as a carbohydrate source. This plant also contains bioactive compounds such as ficivonoid, glycoside, phenol and tannin. The activity of flavonoid as platelet enhancer gave a background for the research ofsweet potato leafextract on platelet quantification. The study was conducted using observational experiment to determine the effect of ethanol extract from Ipomoea batatas leaves against platelet number in white male mice of Sprague dawley strain.
The research used 5 treatment groups with 6 replicates, the normal control group, the control group of thrombooytopenia, the treatment group that was given oral doses ofectract per 252 mg, 504 mg and 1.008 mg. Ethanol Extract with a doge of 252 mg increased the platelet numbers by 32100014 . Dose of 504 mg increased platelet numbers by 534.000/uland 1.008 mg doses increased 559.000/µl.. The results showed that ethanol extra ctfrom the leaves of Ipomoea batatas could increase the number ofplatelets.
