ABSTRACT:

Hallucination is one of nursing problems frequently encountered in patients with schizophrenia Group Activity Therapy (GAT) Stimulating Hallucination Perception. With Health Belief Model approach is one of therapeutic modalities that can be undertaken to a group of caregivers of patients with hallucination. The purpose of this study was to prove the influence of GAT Hallucinations Perception Stimulation using Beabh Belief Model approach to schizophrenic patients with hallucinations in NTB Provincial Mental Hospital.

This was a quasy experimental study using pretest posttest group design. One group consisting of 9 subjects were given GAT Stimulation Perception Hallucinations with Health Belief Model approach, which consisted of four sessions held 2 times per week and one group consisting of 9 members as a control, who only ran the daily activities of the hospital. The samples were selected by consecutive sampling. Data were collected by measuring the ability to control hallucination using observation sheets before and after GAT. The statistical tests used was t test.

The results showed change in the ability to control hallucinations before and after GAT Stimulation Perception Hallucinations with Health Belief Model approach with p 0.0001
