ABSTRACT
Utilizaton of maternal health care services could save severe compli¬cations and death among women during pregnancy delivery, and after de¬livery. Numerous factors such as social, perceived needs, and economic and physical accessibility are mnfributec directly with the use of maternal health care. The purpose of this study is to investigate the social, perceived needs, and economic and physzai accecibility factors that affect women's use of maternal health care n West Java.
The data used come from the 2010 Basic Health Research of ever marded women 15 - 59 years old. This study used two levels of analysis, bivadate and mulfivariate analysis. Both analyses confirmed that social. perceived needs, and economic and phy¬sical accessibility factors had as g hificant relationship with the utilization of antenatal and modern delivery care. The final model logistics regression multivariate analysis indicate that the residence's place remain the most in¬dependent variable affecting both of arrenatal and delivery care usage.
Other important determinants are complications history, family income, mother's age, and education. In the multi:aide analysis, the complications history have a significant impact on the probability of women obtaining de¬ivery care although these variable not associated with the dependent varia¬bles in the bivariate analysis.
