Infeksi Saluran Kemih akibat Pemasangan Kateter-Diagnosis dan Penatalaksanaan (Catheter-associated Urinary Tract Infections-Diagnosis and Management)
ABSTRACT
Catheter-associated UrinaryTract Infections (CAUTI) is an urinary tract infection in person who had used or still using catheter. As many as 80% patient that use catheter developed urinary tract infection. Major risk factors are catheter use for more than 6 days, improper indication and lack of aseptic procedure. Causative aopathogen is mostly bacteria which is highly related to biofilM formation in the catheter. Diagnosis is based or CDC and NHSN criteria Imitn urne cultcre. Management consists of removal of catheter and empirical drug therapy with a broad-spectrum antibiotic. Prevention is mainly focused 'n aseptic technique anc proper indications.
