Gangguan Depresi pada Lanjut Usia (Depression among Elderly)
ABSTRACT
Life expectancy improvement caused increasing elderly population proportion from about 20% in 2005 to estimated 33% in 2050. Changes in the elderly is not only physical, but also mental, such as depressive disorders that are often neglected. Knowledge of symptoms and detection of depressive disorders needs to be acquired by family, community, health professionals, and patients. Approximately 80% of elderly with depressive disorder can recover completely and enjoy their lives after treatment.
