Gigi Palsu di Trakea Laporan Kasus Dental Prosthesis in Trachea - Case Report;
ABSTRACT
Foreign body in respiratory tract such as in tracheobronchial tree is an emergency requiring prompt treatment to maintain respiratory function. Organic foreign bodies in trachea can be grains, peanut, corn, rice and meat, while the inorganic ones are coin, bone, dental prosthesis, needle, pin and nail. Early diagnosis, immediate and appropriate management will, determine the prognosis. We reported a 40 year-old man with dental prosthesis in trachea. The patient came to the hospital complaining hoarseness and intermittent cough for 10 days. The diagnosis was based on anamnesis and physical and radiologic examinations. The dental prosthesis was successfully removed without corn plications through suspension laryngoscopy and bronchoscopy.
