Pola Pikir Etika dalam Praktik Kedokteran (Ethics Reasoning in Medical Practice)

ABSTRACT

In day-to-day clinical setting, physician frequently deal with the uncertainty in clinical decision making. Conceptual framework is needed to make valid and satisfying clinical as well as ethico-legal decision. Six steps in conceptual framework for ethical reasoning: (1) state the problem plainly (2) gather and organize data (3) is the problem ethical? (4) is more information or dialogue needed? (5) determine the best course of action and support your position with reference to one or more sources of ethical value (6) confirm the adequacy and coherence of the conclusion. The Western ethical theory is utilitarian consequent based, obligation based, right based, community based, relation based, case based; the Islamic ethical theory is compiled in maqashid syariah; hifdh al-din, hifdh al-nafs, hifdh al-nasl, hifdh al-aql, hifdh al-maal.The Western bioethic principle involve autonomy, beneficence, non maleficence and justice; the Islamic bioethic principle involve qaidah niyyat, qatclah al¬yaqiin, qaidah al-dharar, qaidah al-masyaqqat and qaidah al-urf.
