Phatogenecity Test of Bacillus thuringiensis and Bacillus sp. Isolat Founded from Several Vectors in the Laboratory (Uji Patogenitas Isolat Bacillus thuringiensis dan Bacillus sp. yang Ditemukan dari Berbagai Vektor di Laboratorium)
A study was carried out in Vector Control Research Station (VCRS) laboratory in Salatiga. This study was conducted to determine the pathogenecity of Bacillus thuringiensis and Bacillus sp. isolation from various soil habitat. The test were detected by Chilcott
Wigley's method (1988). Result show a high sensitivity of larvae toward B. thuringiensis and Bacillus sp. Four isolates of B. thuringiensis and 4 isolates of Bacillus sp. obtained from 28 soil samples (Semarang regency, 21 samples and Purworejo regency, 7 samples) showed that 75-100 percent isolates of B. thuringiensis and Bacillus sp. possessed a pathogenicity of more than 50 percent toward third instar larvae of Ae. aegypti and Cx. quinquefasciatus 24 hours after exposure.
