Kebiasaan Memelihara Kebersihan Alat Kelamin Pada Pasien Abortus di RSUP Sanglah Denpasar Tahun 2013 Habits of Maint Aining Genital Hygiene in Patients with Abortion at Sanglah Public Hospital Denpasar, 2013

Until now abortion is still a cause of maternal mortality, which gives a contribution of 1: 59% of all maternal deaths in the province of Bali. One of the causes ol abortion is lack of genital health care during pregnancy, both the external and the internal genitals. The study is aimed to obtain information about the habits of treating the genitals associated with the use of antiseptic in mothers who experienced abortion and treated in the Public Hospital of Sanglah in the year 2012/2013.

This research use exploratory qualitative research with retrospective rational approach and data collection using in-depth interviews with mothers who experienced abortions and treated in the Puhlic Hospital of Sanglah, and Focus Group Discussions with midwives who worked in puhlic institutions and independent midwives practice at Gianyar, Jembrana, and Denpasar area. This study could expand in to preventing abortion due to unhealthy habit of caring the genitals during pregnancy care: Developing a data assessment focus on information about genital care habit, provide education and counselling when midwives provide pregnancy care and reproductive health care activities and PIKM PIK-KRR.
